Motivate your staff
It’s not always easy to motivate and teach people who feel they have nothing to learn. But as a restaurant owner, I think it’s important to tap into ways to motivate your staff to be the best they can be 110% of the time.
Training and product knowledge
Set up training lessons that go beyond the steps of service every month or so. Product knowledge is also very important. When the staff knows their product, they will be more confident in their routine. More knowledge brings more confidence, which in turn brings more smiles.
Ensure workers are happy
Make sure your staff is well fed, well hydrated, well rested and they will be happier workers that will welcome even the most troubling clientele. Remember they are the face of the restaurant and bar - their attitudes can make or break you!
