Social Media is here to stay. It’s time to move with the times.

Instagram is a huge platform, and its success isn’t set to die-down anytime soon--especially since over 1 billion people use the app every month.

These days if you run a restaurant, you need to have social media.

Marketing in the age of social media can be tricky, however, since Instagram launched, it has become a powerful marketing tool for businesses. If you have not jumped on the Instagram bandwagon yet, you may be doing yourself a great disservice. 

It's 2019, and things have changed. Technology has become more accessible and more used than ever. Anyone and everything has an online presence. 

We are well and truly in the digital age, with information available on hand with a simple google search, or even by asking the virtual assistant in your pocket.

The key word for me when building social media followers is 'quality'. So often with this challenge, another 'q' word is used...'quick'. Unfortunately, with social media followers, the two words are not always synonymous.

As I've stated in an earlier blog on the topic of restaurant marketing, "Hospitality marketing is both an art and a science that is a lost art for far too many restaurant & bar operators" Now to social media? You may as well throw flyers out of an aeroplane if you don't engage with it properly.
